Cinematographer Simon Dennis won a Scottish BAFTA for the short Sex and Death. Number One, Longing. Number Two, Regret. is his second feature, following The Last Great Wilderness.

Simon's recent short IOTA, filmed in Edinburgh, won a Kodak BAFTA for Best Cinematography. His previous short, Fake, won both the Best British and Best Scottish short at the Royal Television Society Awards. Under his company Future Imperfect he is also developing a number of feature projects, including a concept influenced by a popular Greek myth. Simon also shot and cut the Richard Jobson feature, A Woman in Winter.
